BabyBuddha breast pumps at a glance

BabyBuddha makes the BabyBuddha 3.0, a small rechargeable pump with a motor you wear on a lanyard and tubing to two bottles. It pumps one side or both, and BabyBuddha made it for pumping every day. The 3.0 replaced the BabyBuddha 2.0, and we carry it through insurance.

Is the BabyBuddha 3.0 right for you?

Pick by how often you pump, and how much you want to carry.

One pump for every day
A small motor on a lanyard, so you can pump at home, at work or in the car with your hands free. BabyBuddha’s manual rates the battery at about one hour per charge, and you can pump while it charges over USB-C.
Strong suction, gentle start
Suction runs from 53 up to 315 mmHg, BabyBuddha says, across 30 settings in 4 modes. Start soft and turn it up once your milk is flowing.
Still finding your flange size
Two 24 mm EasyFit flanges come with ten inserts, two each in 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21 mm, and a paper ruler to measure at home.
When milk slows down
Double Drop Expression, new on the 3.0, cycles faster at the same strength as Classic Expression, one more pattern to try when a session stalls.
Maybe not for you
If you want no tubing at all, a wearable like the Zomee Fit sits in your bra. If your two sides need different settings, the Spectra Synergy Gold sets each breast on its own.

Questions moms ask about BabyBuddha breast pumps

Is a BabyBuddha breast pump covered by insurance?

On most plans, yes. Some plans cover the BabyBuddha 3.0 in full, many add an upgrade fee, and not every plan offers it. Start your order and pick your state and plan to see each pump you qualify for, with any fee, before you pay anything.

Which pumps have no upgrade fee on most plans?

The Zomee Z2, Zomee Fit, Zomee W1, Lansinoh DiscreetDuo Flow and Ameda Mya Joy Basic are covered in full on the plans we work with. If your plan adds a fee for the BabyBuddha 3.0, the Zomee Z2 is also a light rechargeable pump that can hang from a lanyard.

What’s the difference between the BabyBuddha 2.0 and 3.0?

The 3.0 replaced the 2.0. It adds Double Drop Expression, a fourth pumping mode that cycles faster at Classic Expression strength, for 30 settings in all. It also comes with the EasyFit Flange System: ten inserts from 13 to 21 mm and a sizing ruler, so you can find your fit at home.

How strong is BabyBuddha suction?

The BabyBuddha 3.0 adjusts from 53 up to 315 mmHg, BabyBuddha’s site says. Its manual lists a 300 mmHg limit in the safety section, so the two maker sources differ a little. Either way it is above the 270 mmHg Spectra lists for the S1 Plus, and Zomee rates its Z2 at 300 mmHg. BabyBuddha doesn’t call the 3.0 hospital grade.

How long does the BabyBuddha 3.0 battery last?

About one hour of pumping per full charge, according to BabyBuddha’s manual, which also says a full charge takes up to 4 hours over USB-C. You can pump while it charges, so a session doesn’t have to stop. BabyBuddha says to use a 5V 2A adapter, which isn’t in the box.

Is the BabyBuddha a wearable breast pump?

Not an in-bra wearable. The motor hangs from a lanyard and tubing runs to two bottles, so your hands stay free but the bottles sit outside your clothes. If you want a pump that sits in your bra with no tubes, look at the Zomee Fit or the eufy S2 Pro.

Which flange size fits the BabyBuddha 3.0?

It comes with two 24 mm EasyFit flanges, ten soft inserts (two each in 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21 mm) and a paper nipple ruler, so you can try sizes at home. BabyBuddha says the right size matters for comfort and output. Call us if you’d like help measuring.

What warranty does the BabyBuddha 3.0 have?

BabyBuddha gives a 2-year limited warranty on the pump motor, up to 600 pumping hours, 1 year on the battery and 90 days on the other parts. The 3.0 is a closed system, so milk stays out of the tubing.

Where do I get BabyBuddha spare parts?

BabyBuddha says to replace the silicone diaphragms about every 8 weeks and the duckbill valves every 4 to 5 weeks, depending on use. We carry the BabyBuddha Valve Kit and the BabyBuddha 8.5oz Bottle Kit, both on this page.

Do I need a prescription to get a BabyBuddha through insurance?

Yes, insurance requires one, but you don’t need it in hand to order. Give us your doctor’s details and we request the prescription for you. Most plans let your pump ship about 30 days before your due date.
