The Z2 pump with cups that tuck into your bra
This is the Zomee Z2 with hands-free cups: the Z2 pump plus two silicone collection cups. Milk goes straight into the cups under your shirt, not into bottles you hold, so you can get up and move.
The bottle kit is in the box too. Use cups when you’re up and about, bottles when you’re settled in.
Is the Zomee Z2 with hands-free cups right for you?
Best for
- Pumping while you play with your baby, make a snack or answer email
- Exclusive pumping, with cups on busy days and bottles at night
- Moms who want hands-free without giving up a tabletop motor’s suction
What the cups add
The cups connect to the Z2’s tubing, and the motor hangs from its lanyard. Nothing to hold, nothing on the table.

Cups or bottles, whenever you like
- Any snug bra
- Zomee says a wireless, supportive bra holds the cups. No special pumping bra needed.
- Move around
- Assembled right, the cups don’t leak when you walk or bend. Sit upright when you can for the best output.
- Switch any time
- The full bottle kit is in the box, so you can pump into bottles when you’re settled.
- Closed system
- A diaphragm keeps milk out of the tubing and motor.

The Z2 doing the pumping
- Takes turns
- Alternate pumping works one breast at a time, back and forth, a rhythm Zomee designed to feel more like nursing.
- 3 modes, 9 levels each
- Stimulation, Expression and 2-Phase, set from the touch screen.
- Quiet
- About 46 dB, Zomee says, a soft hum.
- On battery
- 2+ hours per charge, so you’re not tied to the wall.
Cups, all in the bra, or bottles?
All three come from Zomee’s standard line. Pick by how much you want to carry on your body while you pump.

Questions moms ask about the Zomee Z2 with hands-free cups
How strong is the Zomee Z2 with hands-free cups?
The pump is the Zomee Z2, which reaches up to 300 mmHg with 9 levels in each of 3 modes, Zomee says. Zomee doesn’t publish a separate strength figure for the cups. The Spectra S1 and S2 list 270 mmHg.
Is the Zomee Z2 with hands-free cups hospital grade?
Zomee describes the Z2’s 300 mmHg suction as hospital-grade, but we don’t use that label ourselves. The number to compare is the maximum suction in mmHg: 300 on the Z2, against 270 on the Spectra S1 and S2.
How much does each hands-free cup hold?
Up to 8 oz (240 mL) per cup, Zomee says.
Do I need a special bra?
No. Zomee says any wireless, supportive or snug bra works. Adjust the straps so the cups feel secure without pressing hard on them.
Which sizes fit the cups?
The cups come with 24 mm breast shields plus 19 and 21 mm inserts. The bottle kit has flanges in 17, 19, 21 and 24 mm. If none feel right, call us and we’ll help you find your size.
Do the cups leak?
Zomee says they’re leak-proof when put together and positioned right, so you can move around while you pump. Check that the pieces are seated before each session.
How do I clean and assemble the cups?
Zomee doesn’t publish written assembly or cleaning steps, or dishwasher guidance, for the cups on its site. It does say to replace the cups’ duckbill valves and diaphragms about every 3 months. Call us and we’ll walk you through it.
How long does the battery last, and how loud is it?
Zomee’s Amazon listing says 2+ hours of pumping per charge, and Zomee says 46 dB, about a soft hum. Zomee’s own site doesn’t state battery life or charge time.
Can I lie back while I pump with the cups?
Zomee says to sit upright when you can for the best milk removal. Upright, you can still walk and bend, and the cups won’t leak if they’re put together right.
What’s the difference between the Z2 and the Z2 with hands-free cups?
The pump is the same. The cups listing adds two silicone cups on top of a full bottle kit, so you can use cups when you’re moving and bottles when you’re settled. See the Zomee Z2 on its own.
How does it compare to the Spectra S1?
The Z2’s maximum is higher (300 against 270 mmHg), and the cups let you move around. The Spectra S1 is a rechargeable tabletop pump that uses bottles.
